For the last 200 years, the world has been corrupted by malignant spirits called Voidwalkers, prowling around in the mist-shrouded darkness to prey on anyone who gets close enough. Possession, death, and hopelessness have shadowed humanity for far too long. Cities and towns have tried to take precautions, but almost all but one of the Great Cities have fallen.
When the world changed, the guiding energy of the Spiritus star plummeted from the skies, and after 200 years of isolation, terror, and death, humanity has only a single hope left: You.
You are the only one with the inherent power to return the Spiritus to it's rightful form in the skies, returning the Reapers to their original form of the Celestials and purifying the Voidwalkers.
But something FAR more sinister works within the Sanctuary's walls, and only you can fix it.
How you choose to survive your journey to return the Spiritus star is entirely up to you. You may reach out to find love, to find friendship and safety. Or you could rally the most influential people of the city, knowing that the clock is running out and you must do something to fight. Perhaps you'd rather let the world rot, and laugh all the while. But be warned... No matter what decision you make, thing you say, or action you take, everything can change.
